Once again Andy considered it important to discover the updated "paint distributor"first hand. He was working for the Ford Motor Co. at the time and commissioned this model from tooling specialist David Weller. Original patent drawings were closely followed as can be seen in the photographs.

At this stage of development most of the components must have been hand crafted with few mass production techniques employed.
