History of the Airbrush
|
|
| The
sharp eyed will have noticed that the Thayer and Chandler 1886 model was
assigned by Wold. He was almost certainly the craftsman who's job it was
to fabricate Burdick's ideas. As such he must have had an intimate knowledge
of the way that Burdick worked - so it will come as no surprise to learn
that he continued to develop his own ideas and ultimately set up his own
company to manufacture airbrushes. Some ideas closely mirrored Burdick's on the other side of the Atlantic. The resemblance to the Thayer and Chandler brand brought rise to at least one law suit from his former employers which he was to lose in court. Wold even produced a reciprocal needle design based on the early Walkup Airbrush. |
